What is a Horse Guided Empowerment® session?

It is a personalised coaching experience where you work with a horse at liberty.
Horses respond to human energy, intention, and emotional coherence. Their reactions provide immediate, honest insights that help you understand your patterns, leadership style, communication, and deeper emotional state.

How a 1:1 session works

1. Intention Setting
We begin with a short conversation to define your goals - whether you seek clarity, confidence, emotional regulation, burnout prevention, or support during a life transition.

2. Entering the Paddock and grounding
You meet the horses in a calm, natural environment. At liberty, they choose how to interact. This creates an authentic, non-judgmental space for self-reflection and healing.

3. Observing the Horse’s Response
The horse’s behaviour - approach, distance, curiosity, boundaries, or stillness - acts as a mirror.
These subtle responses reveal what is happening beneath the surface: stress, inner conflict, strengths, or unspoken needs.
At the same time, there is never a right or wrong, and there is no judgement. So you don't need to be worried at all.
Nothing has to be "achieved" in the session and it is suitable for anyone - anyone is is open to receive honest feedback from the horse.

4. Guided Experiential Exercises
Based on your intention, the facilitator may suggest different activities like:

• Lead a horse through an obstacle course
• Explore boundaries and communication
• Practice presence, grounding, and nervous-system regulation
• Work with symbolic objects and metaphors
• Walk or stand with the horse at liberty

These evidence-based equine facilitated exercises support emotional clarity, self-awareness, leadership development, and personal growth.

5. Coaching & Insight Integration
I guide you in connecting the experience with real-life situations - workplace dynamics, relationships, decision-making, stress, or confidence. Together, we translate insights into tangible actions.

However, just like the horses work at liberty, it is important to know that also you as the client always have full freedom. 
As facilitator I will guide and support you, and help you make sense of what is happening. But you are always in control of how much you want to do, or to share.
The beauty of working with horses is that not everything needs to be said with words or justified, often the actions speak louder than words.
This makes it especially interesting also for teenagers, as they don't need to explain anything.
