About FeelQuest and it's founder Monica

My name is Monica, and I am the founder of FeelQuest, a practice dedicated to helping people reconnect with their inner leadership, emotional intelligence, and authentic power - all through the wisdom of horses.

Although I have called Dubai home since 2006, my story began far away:
across vibrant landscapes and cultures in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina, where I spent my childhood until my family moved to Germany when I was 13. Living as an expat child, moving across countries and constantly changing schools shaped me early on - teaching me adaptability, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for non-verbal communication and connection.
These experiences made me who I am today and planted the first seeds of the work I do now.

But one constant was always present: horses.

Even though nobody in my family rode, I felt drawn to them from the moment I could walk. They grounded me, fascinated me, and made me feel fully understood. I owned two horses as a teenager, one back in Mexico, later another one when we moved to Germany where I spent my days training and competing in show jumping. I loved the sport, yet I also knew deep down that this was not the career path I wanted.

So, I chose a more “sensible” direction and studied economics - still laughing about that decision today, although of course it had it's benefit and gave me a solid foundation.
But even during my studies, I continued searching for deeper, kinder, more intuitive ways of being with horses.
I explored classical dressage, natural horsemanship, liberty work, and modern herd-based stabling systems that honour a horse’s instinctual need for movement, space, and social bonds.
Slowly, I began seeing horses not just as athletes, but as emotional and highly perceptive partners.

In 2002, an internship took me to Dubai, and instantly I felt alive in this fast-paced, multicultural environment.
I also met my husband here, which made the city feel even more like home from the beginning, although he was a German intern like me.
After completing my Master’s degree, we returned to Dubai “just for three years” - a familiar expat story that turned into a lifetime.

I worked for a German company in international trade exhibitions, and found a small private endurance stable that allowed me to train the horses in the desert. Those afternoon rides through the sand dunes on the incredible Arabian horses left me in awe with their strength, stamina, and sensitivity.

Then, in 2016, everything changed

At a time when my corporate career no longer inspired me, I came across the German HorseDream concept: a method where horses work as partners in leadership development.
The moment I read about it, something clicked so deeply, I just knew, that's it:

• A respectful way of working with horses.
• A method that combines my corporate experience, my studies, and my lifelong passion.
• A path that finally makes sense.

Two weeks later, I was already in Germany for my first certification.

Since then, the journey has been one of continuous learning and entrepreneurship - building FeelQuest from the ground up, finding stables to collaborate with (until I have my own - one day!), explaining the work again and again, educating the market, forming partnerships, and embracing all the ups and downs that come with building something meaningful.

An emotional journey with horses - that is FeelQuest

Today, I feel incredibly grateful. Together with Christina Marz, we have grown a vibrant UAE community of 12 certified Horse Guided Empowerment® facilitators, creating a supportive, collaborative network.
Although I run my own company, I am never alone - I have colleagues to exchange ideas with, co-create programs, and bring powerful experiences to life.

Today, my work spans both corporate and private clients:

• Corporate workshops & leadership training for teams and executives
• One-on-one coaching sessions, with and without horses, supporting personal growth, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and life transitions
  
• Multi day retreats in the UAE and abroad to really dive deep and create change
• Programs for female leaders, social impact initiatives, and specialised therapeutic experiences

Whether working with a team or an individual, my mission is always the same:
To create moments of clarity, presence, and true connection - guided by the authentic, honest feedback that only horses can offer.

I am deeply grateful to be here, and very excited for all that is yet to come.
