Empowering People of Determination – With Horses, from the ground up

Join our journey in supporting both People of Determination and Horses in the UAE.
Our dream is to help people in the United Arab Emirates, whilst at the same time giving older horses who are no longer fit for the sport a new purpose in life.

We have witnessed over the last years many amazing transformations in our coaching sessions with horses and know that true connection doesn’t require riding. Through the Marzmethod, a ground-based approach to equine interaction, people of determination experience the therapeutic and empowering presence of horses in a safe, accessible, and deeply respectful way.

🐴 Why Horses?

Horses are non-judgmental, highly sensitive animals. They respond to subtle changes in body language, intention, and emotion - making them powerful mirrors for human interaction.
For individuals with cognitive, developmental, or emotional challenges, this creates a unique opportunity to connect, build trust, and grow.

Unlike traditional therapy or classroom-based learning, working with horses is experiential.
It engages the whole body and nervous system, helping participants develop emotional regulation, communication skills, confidence, and calm - all without needing to say a word.

🧠 What Science Tells Us

Studies show that equine-assisted activities can:

• Reduce stress and anxiety by lowering cortisol levels and heart rate (Pendry et al., 2014)
• Improve social interaction and emotional awareness in children with autism (Gabriels et al., 2012)
• Increase self-confidence, body awareness, and cooperation through safe, structured contact (Kemp et al., 2014)

Even without riding, simply being near horses - grooming, leading, observing - stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting feelings of safety, grounding, and connection.

Developed specifically for inclusive, trauma-informed environments, the Marzmethod blends:

• Nonverbal interaction with horses
• Ground-based activities and games
• Simple tools for emotional expression and self-regulation
• A calm, sensory-rich setting designed for neurodiverse individuals

Each session is adapted to the unique abilities and needs of the group - whether children, teens, or adults - and facilitated by certified professionals trained in equine wellness and inclusive coaching.

Sponsoring one trimester for 5 children and their families costs 29,000 AED, and we have other packages available at different rates. Any amount is welcome.

The sessions for People of Determination and Horses take place in Dubai, in a green, quiet and peaceful residential area with the horses from the Equestrian Association for People of Determination.
